Titles and Guild Wars 2
Hey all. I bought Guild Wars a couple of days ago, and I'm loving it. I only have Prophecies, but I plan on buying the other two campaigns and the expansion pack soon. Anyway, I've got a few questions about titles:
1. Will character-based titles make it into Guild Wars 2 (i.e. Survivor, Drunkard, etc, etc)? I know account-based ones will, but I'm not so sure about character ones. 2. Are there any titles that you can miss out on by doing something wrong? Survivor and Defender of Ascalon are good examples of this. 3. I've chosen Warrior (Primary) and Monk (Secondary) professions, is that a good combo? Thanks. |

1. It has been stated many times by different ANet employees that ANYTHING from GW will not grant any benefits to GW2 that will give you any kind of advantage over players that start from scratch. The only benefits of titles carried over will be purely cosmetic.
2. Check the titles in Wiki to learn more about them: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Title 3. W/Mo is a popular starting combo. |

1. Nothing is confirmed as far as character based titles in Guild Wars 2. If referring to titles you get in Guild Wars one you can add it to Hall of Monuments in Eye of the North. The Hall is supposed to give something in Guild Wars 2.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hall_of_Monuments 2. Survivor and LDoA are pretty much it. Everything else can be done with time. 3. It's not necessarily the professions it is the skills and how you use them that count. Don't play warriors but I can say remember warriors do damage and monks heal. If you skills don't benefit your damage then they are probably a waste. Most Warriors I know run either a Warrior only bar or have a secondary for /E or /Me. |

I dont know about 1 or 2 but for 3) Warrior/Monk can be good as if you have skills like mending touch to get rid of conditions such as blind or weakness or healing breeze to counter degen/ give a bit of healing it can increase your damage output (due to not missing or hitting weaker) and your survivability.
